The <strong>X-Trial World Championship<\/strong> had started, and Toni came in second place after Adam Raga, a bittersweet result for the ambitious champion:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I made a mistake in section 2, and I lost the race because of a small error. In a race as easy as this one, making up for lost points in different sections wasn&#8217;t an option. I&#8217;m not happy, but I have to make do with second place.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Toni more than made up for it in Barcelona in early February. For <strong>10 years in a row<\/strong>, he&#8217;s won first place here, not failing once to make it onto the podium. After the victory, he was once again leading the ranking and on fire: the chances of the Repsol Honda rider obtaining another world championship title seemed high.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bxrepsol-pre.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/29050246\/30-toni-bou-marsella-xtrial-repsol-honda.jpg\" alt=\"30-toni-bou-marsella-xtrial-repsol-honda\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The same thing happened in Vienna and Marseilles. After two consecutive victories, the Repsol Honda rider had the X-Trial World Championship in his pocket. Toni walked away with his 19th title, but made sure to praise his rivals&#8217; efforts and merits, displaying the great sportsmanship worthy of a champion like him. In his speech after his victory at the end of March in Marseilles, he said,<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Today was a great day. I&#8217;m over the moon, because we&#8217;ve had a very tough time, it&#8217;s been an extremely difficult race. In the final round, not only did I have Adam Raga snapping at my heels, but Albert Cabestany was right behind me as well the entire time too. It complicated the night for me. I just want to say that Adam has put up a real fight throughout the season, and hasn&#8217;t made it easy for me in the least. When you&#8217;re up against someone who performs at that level, the title carries more weight. I&#8217;m very happy. Now I just have to keep living the dream.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>The Outdoor Trials World Championship Begins<\/h3>\n<p>The Outdoor Trials World Championship began in April, and the riders didn&#8217;t have a moment to lose. With hardly any time to celebrate the victory, the Repsol Honda team riders headed back to Barcelona. The competition started off with a similar result to the Indoor World Championship: Toni came in second place. After the second round, though, <strong>he was able to make it onto the first place of the podium, even after his shoulder was injured a few days prior<\/strong> to the competition following a fall during a training session. An example of determination and willpower.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m very happy, because it was a rough night and a complicated weekend, but the pain was more bearable today than yesterday. I don&#8217;t know why, but today I was able to go head to head with Adam [Raga] at a high level.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During the final round in April, at the Japan World championship, Toni came in second place despite the disadvantage of his shoulder injury. The doubts regarding his physical condition were soon put to rest when he came in first place during the second round in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>From there on, he collected victories in Germany and Andorra, as well as the one obtained on the first day in France. At this point in time, the Repsol Honda rider was <strong>ahead by 20 points in the ranking<\/strong>, and all evidence pointed to him still being the strongest rider.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bxrepsol-pre.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/29050248\/31-toni-bou-trial-takahaisa-fujinami-italy.jpg\" alt=\"31-toni-bou-trial-takahaisa-fujinami-italy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This tendency remained constant throughout the Belgian and British Grand Prix. Toni was unbeatable, with a double victory in Italy where he was crowned <strong>world champion for the 20th time<\/strong>. Even after such a significant achievement, Toni still found the time to congratulate his friend and teammate Fujinami first, after the latter had managed to come in third place in spite of being hindered by several injuries.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m delighted to add another victory to our past achievements. We&#8217;ve completed a very successful season, and I want to thank the entire team for their efforts. I want to congratulate &#8220;Fuji&#8221;, it&#8217;s an honour to have him on our team and share these achievements with him. He&#8217;s a fighter. He&#8217;s suffered several injuries but he&#8217;s gotten over it and in the end, he&#8217;s worked hard throughout the summer to hold on to third place here in Italy.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>A Winning Combo<\/h3>\n<p>Behind every positive result is Toni Bou&#8217;s inseparable companion\u2014his <strong>Honda Montesa<\/strong>. The motorcycle&#8217;s performance is the <strong>result of two great brands like Repsol and Honda coming together<\/strong>, which allows for the constant improvement of the machines, introducing new developments each season.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most important developments is Repsol&#8217;s transmission fluid \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.com\/es_en\/productos-servicios\/lubricantes\/particulares\/moto\/productos-especiales\/\">Transmission Trial 75W<\/a>\u201d. Developed to increase speed and precision in transmissions, primarily in the clutch, it&#8217;s been created to address the needs of high-level motorcycle competition as well as road motorbikes. It&#8217;s the ideal way of maximising trial motorbike performance.
