{"id":97319,"date":"2019-02-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-25T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pre.boxrepsol.com\/uncategorized\/productive-penultimate-test-day-for-repsol-honda-team\/"},"modified":"2023-02-27T07:16:23","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T09:16:23","slug":"productive-penultimate-test-day-for-repsol-honda-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/pre.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/productive-penultimate-test-day-for-repsol-honda-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Productive penultimate test day for Repsol Honda Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With information gained from the opening day of the Qatar Test, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/repsol-team\/marc-marquez\/\">Marc Marquez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/repsol-team\/jorge-lorenzo\/\">Jorge Lorenzo<\/a> were amongst the first riders on track for day two. The Losail International Circuit started the day in a much cleaner condition, allowing more productivity from earlier in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Within just a handful of laps, <strong>Marc Marquez was able to improve his time from the opening day by almost half a second<\/strong>. A57 laps around the 5.38 km long Losail International Circuit produced a best time of 1\u201955.004, placing Marquez fifth overall. The day was not only for testing the Honda RC213V, but also to test Marquez\u2019s shoulder \u2013 the reigning champion completing the highest number of laps since his shoulder surgery in December.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jorge Lorenzo and his side of the Repsol Honda Team garage continued to adjust the ergonomics of the bike to suit the five-time champion\u2019s body and riding style. I did a lot of laps, there was a little pain in the shoulder but it\u2019s manageable. We also made a big step with the setup of the bike, I\u2019m happy overall with my condition and the bike. We\u2019re getting closer and closer at a circuit that\u2019s usually not the best of us and there\u2019s still a day of testing left.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/JL99?src=hash&amp;lang=es\">#JL99<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Today was better than yesterday. We modified the bike to improve my feeling and confidence across the whole circuit. You can see we\u2019ve improved by over one second, the position isn\u2019t much better but we are much closer to the front \u2013 this is the most important part.
